The Tenure Track position will cover the interdisciplinary field of “Methodology and techniques from the Palaeolithic to the Neolithic” in its entire breadth, including the ritual, social, political, economic and cultural frameworks and associated social processes in Central Europe. Scholars working on the Palaeolithic and/or Mesolithic and/or Neolithic are invited to apply. Special emphasis will be placed on the application and further development of interdisciplinary methods and techniques for analysing raw materials and material culture. Relevant excavation experience should be demonstrated; planning and supervision of field schools (training excavations) is expected. The supervision and continued development of relevant collections of (stone) raw materials and artefacts from the Palaeolithic to the Neolithic is likewise expected. Additional experience with the application and interpretation of prospection methods is welcome.
