Publication guidelines and norms

To publish in the Bulletinn de la Société préhistorique française, you have to be a member of the SPF.You can apply for Society membership, with or without subscription to the Bulletin, at the same time as you submit an article for publication.

Articles must be sent to the postal address of the SPF or bye-mail to bspf@prehistoire.org.

Each article is then forwarded to a member of the Editorial committee who passes it on to two reviewers. The decision to publish an articleis based on the reviewers’ opinions and the Editorial committee member canrequire the author to make various corrections prior to publication.

Once accepted by the Editorial committee, articles are handed over to the editorial assistant who then takes over contacts with theauthors.

Articles accepted for publication are normally published within 6 to 12 months of their submission date.

Before submitting an article, please consult the guidelines for publishing in the Bulletin de la Société préhistorique française. If your article does not comply with these norms it will be returned to you immediately.
