The position

 

"We are looking for an outstanding, internationally recognised scientist in the fields of Palaeolithic/Mesolithic archaeology, preferably with a focus on the evolutionary and ecological aspects of human prehistory and the application of quantitative methods in archaeology.
The successful applicant will be expected to contribute to core activities at the School of Culture and Society and Aarhus University in general, and to strengthen in particular the research activities and output of the Department of Archaeology and Heritage Studies.
Apart from research, the successful applicant will also be expected to contribute to the following areas: education, talent development and knowledge exchange within the field of archaeology and heritage studies at Aarhus University. The professor will be expected to contribute to the academic evolvement and profile of the department both nationally and internationally.
