CORONAVIRUS UPDATE

Because of the uncertainty caused by coronavirus and lockdown, we found it was not feasible to hold the Forum in 2020 as planned. We want to mount an event which allows everyone the opportunity to meet, discuss and socialise, as well as to hear about a wide range of Bronze Age research. For this reason, we will be rolling BAF to 2021. The University of Leicester has very kindly agreed to move their event to 2022.

The Bronze Age Forum is for everyone with an interest in the Bronze Age—university academics, commercial archaeologists, museum curators, postgraduate students, independent scholars, and the public.
The Forum is chance to showcase new finds and excavations, present survey results, discuss emerging research, try out different interpretations, and to meet others in the field.

We welcome papers on any topic associated with the Bronze Age. We are offering 20-minute presentations as well as a poster session. We anticipate a total of 20–25 papers during BAF2020. The Prehistoric Society will be offering a prize for the best poster by a student or those early in their career.

Closing date for proposals is 19 June 2020.

We will advise the programme shortly afterwards, along with details of the venue and registration.
