The Department of Archaeology, Anthropology and Forensic Sciences at Bournemouth University will be hosting an international conferenc to bring together researchers from a range of academic disciplines to discuss death and how it is reflected and dealt with in human society (past and present). The conference is specifically targetted towards researchers whom are working on mortuary practices, beliefs and associated remains, monumentality and landscapes to facilitate wider scholarly debate on their work. Specialities encompassed, but not limited to, are human evolution, landscape archaeology, field archaeology, bioarchaeology, sociology, ethnology, ethnohistory and history.

The deadline for submission of session proposals is the 1st May 2016 with a subsequent notification of session acceptance on or before 6th June 2016.
