The aim of the 3rd International Conference on the Solutrean 2017 is to bring together scientists working on hunter-gatherer societies of Western Europe during the Last Glacial Maximum. The conference is organized by the Interdisciplinary Center for Archaeology and Evolution of Human Behavior (ICArEHB) together with colleagues from the University of Cologne and Neanderthal Museum.
This year's edition continues a series of conferences on the Solutrean that took first place in Preuilly-sur-Claise, France, in 2007, and subsequently in Vélez-Blanco, Almería, Spain, in 2012.
